On Instagram on Friday evening, Bella Hadid spotlighted a cause close to her heart: uplifting women.
The model shared a carousel of images and videos from her visit to her “favorite place in New York,” the offices of nonprofit organization the Lower Eastside Girls Club. In several slides, Hadid is smiling widely as she hugs people there, waves enthusiastically, and poses; in a couple of others, she stands with a group of girls behind a table filled with podcast equipment while wearing a headset. And in one video, after watching as a girl named Aston makes and applies a tube of lipstick, Hadid happily praises her: “It’s pretty! That’s really good!”
For the sweet occasion, Hadid looked effortlessly gorgeous in a casual, practical ensemble composed of a white scoop-neck tank top layered under a rustic brown leather jacket, paired with dark-wash straight-leg jeans cinched at the waist with a wide reddish-brown belt and matching New Balance sneakers. She radiated with glowy glam complete with bronzy blush and a brown-pink lip, while wearing her chocolate-brown locks down in soft waves.
Hadid gave kudos to executive director Jenny Dembrow, writing, “Thank you @jld.suerte for being my angel and for all that you do! I can’t wait to tell everyone what we’re up to…🤍 Made my day to see all my girls! 🫂” Only time will tell what special project Hadid and the Girls Club have in the works, but it will undoubtedly embody the nonprofit’s mission.
The Lower Eastside Girls Club has been “Opening Doors, Empowering Women, and Building Community Girl by Girl” since 1996, per the official website.
And Hadid noted in the caption: “The Lower Eastside Girls Club amplifies the inner power of young women and gender-expansive youth in New York City through our free, year-round innovative programs in STEM, Arts, Digital Media and Sound, Wellness, Civic Engagement, and Leadership.”
